Isolation and determination of honeybee poison

Abstract: Poison (I) produced by stinging honeybees was studied. Isolation was based on method of irritating bees by elec. stimulators. I contains 1% histamine and quant. detn. of I is based on the properties of histamine. Polarographic detn. with the help of Brdi.ovrddot.cka (C.A. 28, 7131.6) reaction and colorimetric detn. by the biuret reaction are described. 28 references.
