Abstract: A new manganometric detn. of Tl⁺ in acid soln. and the presence of KBr at higher temp. is described. This is basically a bromometric titration which is in a soln. of H₂SO₄ or HCl with colored indicators or by using a potentiometer with a wide range of acidity. By this method it is possible to perform a potentiometric microdetn. of 1 mg. Tl with 0.004N KMnO₄. In detg. Tl⁺ with Ce(SO₄)₂ the potentiometric indication is best in the presence of HCl. H₂SO₄ is disturbing even in the presence of KBr. 62 references.
