Abstract: C.A. 52, 15011b. Dolomite (I) (from Male Krstenany) was decompd. in the fluidization layer at various temp. At the speed of air from 10 cm-1 to 15 cm-1 in the outer layer I was fluidized with granule dimensions of <0.5 mm. >0.4 mm. and <0.15 mm. >0.1 mm. The 1st degree of thermal decompn. was finished at 750° in approx. 50 min. with granulations <0.5 mm. >0.4 and <0.15 mm. >0.1 mm. at v = 15.5 cm-1. Layers with a greater amt. of smaller granules showed irregular results during fluidization. The decompn. of I at a definitive temp. does not depend on the speed of air in outer layer and it is the fastest in the initial phase of combustion. The formation of free CaO to a great extent is dependent on the speed of air in outer layer, it is slow in the beginning but increases rapidly later. The amt. of 10 vol. % CO2 in the air practically inhibits the formation of free CaO.
