Domestic bentonite for the preparation of penicillin substrate

Abstract: Lab. expts. indicate that many advantages in penicillin processing can be derived if 0.4-0.6% bentonite (of Slovak origin) in colloidal form and 0.05% 'katexol' are added to fermentation substrate, at the same time lowering pH to 5.2.
