Spectrophotometric determination of copper

Abstract: The detn. of Cu++, alone and in mixts. with Co++ and Ni++, as chlorocomplexes, dissolved in pure, H2O-free Me2CO, was described. These systems were applied: Cu(NO3)2.3H2O-LiCl-Me2CO, Cu(NO3)2.3H2O-Co(NO3)2.6H2O-LiCl-Me2CO, and Cu(NO3)2.3H2O-Ni(NO3)2.6H2O-LiCl-Me2CO. By a proper choice of wavelength (475 and >560 mμ) it was possible to det. Cu and Co, or Cu and Ni.
