Constituents of wild rose seeds

Abstract: The constituents of the ethereal and methanolic exts. of wild rose seeds were identified. The ethereal portion consisted mainly of drying oil (triglycerides of unsatd. fatty acids), accompanied with components of lipidic character common to plants. The free saccharides, glucose and fructose and the bound saccharides glucose, arabinose, and xylose were found in the methanolic portion.
