Synthesis of xanthotoxin-4-sulfonylamino acid, di- and tripeptide derivatives

Abstract: The synthesis of some xanthotoxin-4-sulfonylamino acids has been achieved by the reaction of xanthotoxin-4-sulfonyl chloride with the appropriate amino acid in dioxan—triethylamine medium. Glycine chloride derivatives on coupling with different amino acids or with Gly-GIy-OMe furnish the desired di- and tripeptide derivatives, respectively.
