Coulometric determination of organic compounds. IV. Determination of aminophenoxazinium dyes by titanometric coulometry

Abstract: Conditions were found for the detn. of aminophenoxazinium dyes by titanometric coulometry at const. current using a glossy Pt electrode to generate Ti(III) ions; the equivalence point was recorded potentiometrically. A suitable carrier electrolyte for the detn. was composed of 0.4M TiCl4, 0.7M HCl, and 2.0M H2SO4. In this electrolyte, >200 μg dye in 50-100 mL could be detd. at a const. current of 0.5 or 1.0 mA, respectively.
