Abstract: The influence of V concn., pH, and temp. on the compn. of solid products formed in the system NaVO3-HNO3-H2O was investigated. The compds. Na6V10O28.18H2O, Na5HV10O28.22H2O, and Na2V6O16.3H2O were prepd. and the conditions of their prepn. in particular systems were optimized. Besides the above compds., brown products with varying compn., which may be regarded as intermediates in the formation of Na2V6O16.3H2O, were also isolated from the given systems.
