Rotary disk extractor simulation

Abstract:  Residence time distribution, obtained experimentally, has been compared with that calculated from single-parameter stage models and from a one-parameter dispersion model. Parameters of models have been deter­mined by the Fibonacci method. For the studied experimental conditions, rotary disc extractor was best simulated by a cascade of ten perfectly mixed vessels with backflow.
