Flavonoids in flowers of Calendula officinalis L.

Abstract: The triglycoside isorhamnetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-O-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)]-β-D-glucopyranoside (III) from flowers of Calendula officinalis L. was isolated together with the already known glycosides isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (I) and isorhamnetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (narcissine, II). The total content of flavonoids in ligulate ray-florets and tubular disc-florets inclusively involucra was found to be 0.88 and 0.25%, respectively.
