Abstract: A Monte Carlo method has been used for studying the influence of the molecular mobility on the decay of free radicals in amorphous polymers. We worked on a tetragonal lattice with different degrees of the occupation of lattice points (density). The diffusion of radicals is shown to be strongly dependent on density - it increases with increasing density. The decay of radicals in the time scale is more effective at lower densities. Cooperative motions are particularly sensitive to density.
