The structure of mixed crystals of lithium chloride and manganese chloride

Abstract: In mixed LiCl-MnCl₂ crystals, Cl anions are arranged in a perfect hexagonal form. The places of the cation layers are taken statistically by Li⁺ and Mn²⁺ ions. Li⁺ ions are located in all, and Mn²⁺ ions only in alternate, layers.
