Abstract: Herein, we report Neem-leaf extract-induced reduction of graphene oxide and its novel application towards catalytic reduction of oximes to corresponding amines. The reduction of graphene oxide is expedient, cost-effective, and novel by utilizing renewable biomolecules present in ‘Neem leaf extract’. Characterization of the synthesized graphene oxide and NLGOR was performed using UV-Vis, FT-IR, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy, while the imaging was done by TEM, SEM and EDS analysis. Catalytic efficiency of NLGOR was evidenced in the prolific reduction of oxime to equivalent amine in an aqueous medium in an excellent yield (87–93%).
