Effect of tartaric and sulfosalicylic acids on metallic ion exchange equilibriums on an anion exchanger

Abstract:  The factors affecting the selectivity of an anion exchanger for metallic ions (Mg, Zn, Cu, Fe, Ti) in the presence of tartaric and sulfosalicylic acids have been studied. A dependence of the distribution coefficients of Mn+ on the chemical nature of the agents, their concentration, and pH medium has been found. The relationships between the sorption behaviour of metallic ions and the stability of their complexes have been discussed with respect to optimum conditions for chromatographic separation.
